The time between the holidays and spring can be the toughest. You’ve spent the entire month of December going to holiday parties, trading gifts and soaking in the season. Suddenly, January comes and your credit card bill is high, the weather is cold and you’re stuck indoors, waiting for the snow to leave. It’s easy to feel a little down in the dumps during this time of the year and to start yearning for warmer days.

Make a cup of tea!
Tea is the quintessential comfort drink and it’s not hard to see why. The meditative process of boiling the water, steeping the leaves and then sitting down to enjoy it while you dive into a good book or catch up on your favourite show is pure bliss. Get out into nature!
This may seem like the last thing you want to do but there’s an old saying that there’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! So, wrap up in your warmest coat, dig up your mittens and scarf and get outside. The fresh air can be very invigorating for the mind and the rosy glow from being out in the elements means you can skip the blush. Exercise is great for the mood so take the dog for a walk or hit the slopes to go skiing!
