PLUS EASY TO BAKE CBD COOKIES USING THE HUGG CBD OIL!
Easter 2020 will be one we won’t forget and for most of the world it won’t be spent together at the family dinner table or going to Sunday mass together. On Sunday, April 12, 2020, most of us will be at home flattening the COVID-19 curve.
One thing that COVID-19 won’t stop is us from is perfecting those baking skills, which let’s not kid ourselves, we’ve been happily working on for the past few weeks and I have the scale to prove it.
So, I’ve decided to mix things up a bit and test out some CBD oil in those recipes and here is what I found.
How to Use CBD Oil in Your Easter Baking
To use CBD oil in baking, like the HuGG CBD oil, the CBD oil firstly has to be infused in fatty based ingredients like oil, ghee or butter.
Start by adding several drops to a whole 10 ml (0.3 oz) bottle to your fat-based ingredients and keep a diary of how much CBD oil you use in your recipe and adjust until you find the perfect amount for you. (You’ll find our calculations as you read further down)
For an extra kick of hemp, if you have a nice bottle of cooking hemp oil you can replace the fat-based ingredients in your recipe with that!
Benefits of baking with CBD:
1) Different absorption
Similar to the effect of CBD edibles like CBD gummies, digestion starts in the mouth as the CBD oil passes along the digestive tract absorbing into the body along the way to have potentially different effects on the endocannabinoid system that may take longer to have an effect.
2) Ease in Baking
No need to spend hours making your cannabutter when using CBD oil in baking! All you have to do is add your CBD Oil to the fat-based ingredient that’s called for in the recipe.
3) No Psychoactive Effect
All these yummy dishes you just created are now infused with CBD and the best part is that they won’t get you high and they won’t give you munchies.
4) The Exact Measure of Serving Size of CBD
CBD oil used in baking enables keeping the precise record of each serving size in the edible. Once you are through with the basics of baking with CBD, calculate easily how much CBD would be consumed and how much would be necessary to attain the results, you have been looking for. Note: for half the amount of CBD in each cookie use half a bottle of The HUGG CBD Oil tincture.
Precautions while using CBD in baking
When using CBD oil in baking, make sure to keep a regular check on the temperature. Warming/ heating up the oil can increase the CBD effect. And, very high temperatures can destroy many active compounds of CBD. Prolonged baking of CBD may completely evaporate it from your baked goods.
Make sure you are properly storing your CBD infused baked goods because CBD is very sensitive to light and heat. Store your CBD infused goods in a cool and dark place, in an airtight container so that these goodies stay fresh, with the quality intact.
Also, make sure that you optimize the serving size of CBD oil in your recipes such that every single serving contains enough CBD to fit the desired milligram standard.
Pull out your spatulas and put on your aprons. You are ready to bake with CBD oil. Infuse the goodness and flavor in your brownies, cookies and all your recipes. Cooking with CBD is no brainer. You can enjoy the art of creating sweet treats, boosted with the wellness that everybody will appreciate, this Easter and ever after.
